Our first application is a pre-emergent and fertilizer.
This is a granular application that uses a heavy rate of balanced fertilizer that will promote an early green up. This application is a pre-emergent crabgrass control. Weather depending, we apply this application during the months of March and April. Your pets are safe to be on the lawn after this application with supervision to make sure they are not eating the pellets from the lawn.

Our second application is our weed control and fertilizer.
This is a liquid application that uses a standard rate of balanced fertilizer that improves lawn color and density while controlling existing broadleaf weeds. This application will be applied, weather depending, during the months of May and June. We recommend that your pets stay off the lawn for twenty-four hours or at lease until the application is dry.

Our third application is an insecticide with fertilizer.
We use a standard rate of balanced fertilizer that is a granular insect control. This is a surface-feeding insect control. While there we spot spray for weeds and check for grub activity. See below for more information about our Preventative Grub Control. Weather depending, we apply this application during the months of July and August. Your pets are safe to be on the lawn after this application with supervision to make sure they are not eating the pellets from the lawn.

Our fourth application is a fall weed control with fertilizer.
This is a liquid application that uses a heavy rate of balanced fertilizer that will prepare your lawn for late season stress while controlling broadleaf weeds. This application will be applied, weather depending, during the months of September and October. We recommend that your pets stay off the lawn for twenty-four hours or at lease until the application is dry.

Our fifth application is a winter fertilizer.
This is a granular application that uses a standard rate of balanced fertilizer. This will encourage new root growth while helping to prevent winter stress. Weather depending, we apply this application during the months of November and December. Your pets are safe to be on the lawn after this application with supervision to make sure they are not eating the pellets from the lawn.

Granular vs. Liquid? Our slow release granular treatments are activated by moisture, so they are less likely to cause lawn damage during high stress months. Liquid treatments are activated upon release. This combination has proven more effective for weed control.

Balanced Fertilizer (Heavy vs. Standard Rates) Our fertilizer is a custom blend of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. A higher percentage is applied during our Spring and Fall visits to help your lawn withstand adverse conditions and fight pesky weed growth, while improving color and health.

Broadleaf Weed – the most common broadleaf weeds consist of dandelions, clover, chickweed and ground ivy. Our applications will control any weeds showing at the time of application. Some weeds are difficult to control due to stage growth and weather conditions and may require several treatments.

Thatch – Thatch is a dense mass of partially decomposed organic matter. Excessive thatch will inhibit absorption of water, air, fertilizer and sunlight, creating an opportunity for disease and insect damage. Aeration can help eliminate compaction to allow air and nutrients to reach your lawns roots.

Grubs – Grubs are white, “C” shaped larvae that are found below the surface in the soil. These pests feed on your lawns roots. Left untreated grubs can cause serious damage. Our technicians routinely check for any grub activity throughout the season. We offer a Preventative Grub Control application and a Curative Grub Control application.
